What's the plan?

Alright....what's the plan for riding this weekend? Woods? Road? Where and when?

There is a group of us in Lexington planning a road cycling ride on Saturday at 12:30pm from the Sherrifs office lot on Gibson Rd.

See http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/lexington_group_rides/
for more information

We average 16-18mph for 50 miles - no one will be dropped.

Sunday is good for me. The weather ought to be great.

I would prefer the 10ish time slot.
Count me in, heck count me in twice.

The 10ish time work for me too...that gives me time to go get my soul right....cause it gets so ran into the ground during the week!

10:00 is cool with me for Sunday morning. I was on it today, and the trails are in good shape even after the rains. Toby, those drains we put in are working pretty dang well.

Monty, we sure could use another afternoon with the big saw, if you can swing it sometime. There are two really big ones down. One is right after the new log ramp and the other is real close to the road.

Even the trails that we haven't raked are in a lot better shape with the trees out of the way now. It's a great trail to hit. There were a lot of hikers on the trail today too. I'm glad to see it getting used again.

I'll be in there on Monday working, so look me up. I'll be the guy with the gashes all around his face and neck:

I got racked out by a saw briar on the roller-coaster ravine. The big log was cleared (Thanks Monty!), and I went for it, but didn't see the vine until it was getting all "O.J. Simpson" around my neck and arm. That vine stuff must be pound-for-pound stronger than Kevlar, 'cause it would not break. I haven't been yanked *off* the bike before.

Anyhow, you all watch it when you're ripping through the ravine. That 1/8" vine means "bidness".

kimidail, come on out tomorrow. We'll all be getting there at 10. Jump in with us.

Clint,
I will let you know when I have some more free time. I still have both saws and the will to cut. I just hate to hike all 8 miles to find two trees. If you can't give me an exact location I will ride with the GPS and mark them for later.

Just wondering if anyone was racing this weekend on the short track. Still have not made up my mind. Give me a call if you are going, thanks.
