Group Ride-Saturday 5/23, 6:30a.m.

Doesn't seem like this blog has been getting much play recently so I thought I would post info about a group ride. We have had some great ride during the past couple of Saturdays. This past Saturday, we had several groups that did various distances and pace, with the longest being a little over 4 hours.

Ride with us, or you will look like this guy:----->>>>>

Date: Saturday, 5/23/09
Time: 6:30 a.m.
Where: Leaving from the parking lot of O'leary's Orthodontics
How Far: Varies--It's up to you. Come and start with the group and do the amount you need or can handle. I plan on doing at least 4 hours. However, each weekend we have had guys do 1.5, 2, and 3 hr rides. Whatever mileage you want to do, I'm sure there will be someone that will do it with you.
Pace: Varies--Once again, it's up to you. If I had to say, I would say med/high pace; however, that does not mean that we will be in hammer mode the whole time. We WILL wait for any dropped riders along the route, unless the group is told differently by those that don't want to, or can't hold the pace. So please, DO NOT think that you are slowing the group down--nonsense. Personally speaking, I love the company of my friends (and I love to see them suffer ;-)

Having said that, yes, there are certain sections of road that beg to be ridden at a high pace...for those sections, indeed, we will oblige....jump on the train, keep gaps closed, and ignore you heart rate monitor.

Store stop: Ltn Mtn--bring cash if you need. A 'tall-boy' is only $1.29.

If I can get ahold of a big thermos, I will make some coffee and have a little 'java hut' set up out the back of the Scion if you would like a cup of joe before we head out. There's nothing like a legal performance enhancer! UPDATE: In the event that we only have a few guys, or gals, I won't waste my time trying to set up a 'java hut'. Sorry.

Pass this along to others!

If you Twitter, let me know your username!

Mine is 'bikelovin' (I'm still trying to figure out all the connotations of that word...hmmm..)

After the ride: You can eat this! Yummy! Quality Protein!

Hate that I wasn't able to make this round, but what about next Saturday?
