Unfortunately I will be coaching soccer instead of racing. Hopefully some of you guys are going to represent anyways. If you have never run that course before I have a few pointers. 1. Be prepared to run 14-16 mph on tight single track. Big ring and road cassette all the way. 2. I rode the course yesterday and it is in great shape. You will not have to worry about leaves and straw on the trail. Plently of good traction. 3. Get out in front early. Preferably 2nd or third place. You can actually draft in this race. Most likely Justin Fisher or a VW team will be up front. Don't let him get out of sight. 4. There are only 3 good places to pass in the first 5 miles. 1) is the start which goes 1/2 mile down paved road, 2) is the first sidewalk you come to before you enter the trail again, and 3) is along the dike between two ponds. After that it is pretty tight for 8 miles. Good luck to all that race.
The price for Swankin aint cheap. That's why I am taking full advantage of the KEG afterwards. IF you think I can't drink $70 worth of beer. You are wrong.

Good Job to Monti and Toby. How did you like the race?
Looks like it was a fast race. The winner almost had an average of 16mph. Sorry I could not make it. Hopefully you guys and some more will attend the spring event.
